over the past 7 weeks I have personally been involved in the perfect Body Shape program / low Glycemic Awareness program and have literally found dozens of new tasty meal combinations that not only taste terrific but have also contributed to weight loss of over 15 pounds and a loss of over 20 inches in a select group of body measurements. most of all, I am rarely 'really hungry' as the program calls for 6 eating intervals a day rather than 2 or 3. In fact, when I first started the program I had a difficult time fitting in all 6. If my schedule is hectic, I make sure that I have plenty of appropriate grazing food to keep me going without any guilt of breaching the diet.

Although I have had to cut out many of the foods that I previously consumed, I feel that I have more than made up for that inconvenience by borrowing some great recipes available from all over the net, or, discovering my own.

Here are a few examples of my own experiments:

Smoked fish (trout, salmon and even sturgeon) sliced on small pieces of flatbread or rye crisp bread with hummus. Add a fresh vegtable or sundried tomato if you like.

Spaghetti Squash with ground chicken or turkey (instead of pork or beef) mixed in garlic/olive oil/sundried tomato sauce. I cook the squash on the BBQ and add a little seasoning (no brown sugar!)

Cedar Board Salmon on the BBQ (an absolute taste sensation!) with wild/brown rice and garden vegetables like chard or green beans.

Soy beverage shakes with fruit (strawberries, blueberries and red currents are my favorites so far) with a low glycemic meal replacement powder mix.

Chicken or Turkey pepperoni for snacking purposes (especially when you are on-the-go and get to table).

Roasted almonds soaked in water. This provides a slightly different texture and taste as well as making the nuts easier on the teeth to chew.

Sweet Potatoes or Yams - not everyday but a great alternative to traditional potatoes.

egg Salad wraps with Hummus and a sprinkle of shredded parmesan or asiago cheese. Easy on the mayo.

As you can see, the choices are only limited to your imagination. Keep in mind that all meats are low glycemic but be aware of the fat content in some meats as they can add unwanted calories. trim the fat off of beef or pork. Remove the skin from chicken or turkey (prior to cooking if possible). Processed meats should also be limited as they usually have a high fat content, may contain many additives that are not on the low glycemic index (like bread crumbs) or are high in sodium (salt).

This will impact on both the length and height of iron shots. Id also like you to imagine that this golfer is a little shorter in height than average.

In any fitting that we are doing with this golfer we need to make sure that we make it easier to increase the club head speed without reducing the likelihood of making solid contact with the golf ball.

In many cases an obvious option for this golfer is to go with a lighter, probably softer shaft. A less obvious option, but one worth examining, would be to look at a " or " longer shaft than normally fits this golfer. In this story you are an infant. One of your parents, lets say your mother, is holding you. Your mother is struggling with her personal issues and although she is doing the best she can, she cannot give you the attention you need. That means that she cannot hold you as securely as you need. Feeling insecure, you naturally wonder if she is acting like this because there is something undesirable about you. After all, if you were really valued she would treat you with greater consideration. (When the love that a child needs is withheld the child naturally questions her worthiness. It is in the nature of all of us, but it is acute in children.)

As your mother continues to struggle with her issues, the relationship between you becomes difficult. She doesnt mean to hurt you, but she lets you slip out of her grasp and you fall. Unfortunately, you land in a fresh cow pie.

Your initial feelings of not being good enough have just been strongly reinforced. Your mother picks you up but her preoccupation with her own issues prevents her from cleaning all of the manure from you. You look around for help from dad, but hes not there. Hes mostly at work and when hes home he is not emotionally available anyway.

So there you are, soiled and smelly. Something is obviously wrong. No only are you feeling unloved and unworthy, you now have the stink to prove it. The other people in your family arent able to clean you up. They dont know how to get rid of their own manure, no one in the family does. Because of this. and the continuing non-nurturing aspects of the family, your feelings of unworthiness become substantially reinforced.

The manure dries, you grow up and having little choice, you become resigned to living with it. Who you are has become tainted with the aromatic flavor of something potent that does not belong to you. You do not deserve it, but the circumstances of your life have caused you to believe otherwise. You have become convinced that you deserve to be unloved, and there isnt much in your environment that contradicts that belief. Actually, theres quite a bit of negative reinforcement regarding your imperfections and failings, leading you to conclude that this must be what you deserved. You also resign yourself that this is what the rest of your life has in store for you. Your grandparents try to help you, because grandparents are immune to the odor of manure, but its just not enough.

In order to get by you start applying perfume in an attempt to mask the smell of your imperfections. Although it helps you to get by, you know that you are living a lie and you live with the constant fear that someone will pick up the telltale scent of manure and you will be exposed. Some people do pick up on the perfumed smell and shy away from you because they know that something funny is going on, even if they do not understand it. You end up feeling worse.

You, of course, must act as if the perfumed you is the normal you, while hiding your real self away under the mask. You treat the your real self as though she had leprosy, hiding her from criticism. You live on a tightrope, alone, cursed and unable to risk getting close to anyone who is clean for fear that they will detect the smell you and reject you. So you seek out others who are also wearing manure to have relationships with. You make an unspoken deal, I will ignore your manure if you will ignore mine. Then of course, the moment the other person gets scared or hurt, they immediately break the agreement and point to your manure as the cause of the problem. You of course, respond in kind. Soon you are engaged in a manure war with all sorts of manure flying around. Each of you becomes entrenched, busily defending your position. Little of a constructive nature is accomplished.

Wounded and despondent, you pull back from life and start looking for answers to your dilemma. The Church tells you that the manure is your fault and that you should be repentant for your sinful nature for having it. Your boss tells you that you are just not trying hard enough to overcome it. A therapist shows you how to behave as though the manure doesnt exist. A yoga teacher encourages you to achieve calmness in spite of the smell. New Age books and CDs show you that beautiful flowers grow in manure and that you need to surrender to your bliss. Some of what you learn is helpful, but you still smell badly and you dont like it. You know that it repels other people.

Unable to get real answers, and beset by a continuing series of problems, you pray to God for help. To your surprise, there is an answer. God says, Take off your soiled clothing and bathe yourself in love. That which is causing you pain is not yours. It does not belong to you, it never has. Conditioned by years of experience, the thought of giving up your life-long attachment seems impossible. But, you reply, I cant. This soiled state is all that I know. Its who I think I am. Besides, what would happen if you gave up your soiled clothing and there was nothing else for you to put on! You would be left alone in the cold and naked. It has felt that way in past lives and there is no reason to believe that the present situation will be any different. Feeling once again like a failure, you turn away, push on, and do the best you can.

Clinging steadfastly to your belief of unworthiness, life continues to cause you pain, but you persist. The lessons intensify. Eventually you are confronted with a crisis. Perhaps it is the painful end of a relationship or a business failure. Maybe it is a physical crisis, with the prospect of death or a considerably worsened physical condition demanding that you make serious changes to the way you have been in the world.

Whatever the obstacle, something will push you to the point that you can no longer sustain the beliefs you hold about yourself. You will no longer be able to sustain the facade. Pushed over the limit, your resistance breaks. Bruised and beaten, willing to surrender, you cry out to God for help. He says, I understand. And then He repeats, Take off your soiled clothing and bathe yourself in love. That which is causing you pain is not yours. It does not belong to you, it never has. With nowhere else to turn, a crack in the darkness opens and you begin to see that it is really not you, that it is the manure you have been carrying all this time that has caused your pain. God continues, The process you have experienced has been created so that you would come to see the truth about who you are. In the process you will heal the vulnerability that allowed the manure to stick to you in the first place. Your vulnerability gave the beliefs a place to stick. He then tells you, This is all part of the process we have created together called Life. He further explains that learning to accept the truth about who you are is an important step in your spiritual development. Since you have free will, it was necessary for you to come to this realization by yourself. He could not give it to you.

So what do you do when this happens to your XBox? First of all, don't panic. In nearly all cases, your XBox can be fixed and the 3 red lights error will go away. Before doing anything, try these simple solutions first:

Is your xbox very hot? put your hand on the box. Does it seem unnaturally hot? If so, it may have overheated. Simply unplug your xbox from the power supply and give it some time to cool down. In future, make sure that your xbox has plenty of ventilation around it -- so dont throw your clothes on top of it or locate it with the vents next to a wall. Make sure air can circulate in and around it.

After youve unplugged your xbox and while it is cooling down, grab a can of compressed air and use it to blow into all the vents. Precautions for vata:

* Vinyasa or flow styles of yoga tend to move too quickly from one pose to the next and can aggravate the hyper-mobile quality of vata over time. Flow sequences can be made to be more vata pacifying if they are not excessively long, the length of time poses are held is extended, and transitions are done slowly and consciously.

* Those with lower back problems may find that bending the knees in standing forward bends can prevent discomfort.

* Back bends should be done slowly, carefully and within one's own limits.

Pitta individuals should maintain a calm, cool, and relaxed intention while doing asanas. Pitta types may benefit from trying to cultivate an attitude of forgiveness, and of surrendering or offering the fruits of their practice to the divine of to those in need of positive healing energy. Because asana practice tends to generate heat in the body, it is best to do them at cooling times of the day, such as dawn or dusk. Also, it is useful to place some emphasis on poses that help to release excess heat from the body, such as poses that compress the solar plexus and poses that open the chest like.

Kapha types tend to be sedentary and often dislike vigorous exercise. For this reason, their practice should be energetic, warming, lightening, and stimulating, providing they are physically capable. Vinyasa or flow style yoga is good for kapha because it is dynamic and moves quickly from one pose to the next, it induces sweating and gets the heart pumping.

Yoga poses that address specific doshic problems can be easily added to an Ayurvedic regime and integrated into an existing yoga routine, or they can be organized as a small session with the help of an Ayurvedic clinician who knows each individual case well and can help set up a well balanced program according to the needs of each client.

Ayurveda also offers Yoga Chikitsa, or Yoga Therapy, for specific doshic disorders. It is advised to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for an individualized regime.

Ayurvedic Approach to Pranayama (breathing techniques).

The ultimate goal of pranayama is to calm the mind and prepare it for meditation. It also has a therapeutic effect on the physical body as well. It is not essential to do a pranayama practice according to dosha, but knowing its effects on the body is a valuable tool for management of the doshas. Below is a general list of pranayama and bandha exercises according to dosha.

New Xbox 360 Sales Tactic?

In a statement that surprised gamers and non-gamers alike, Peter Moore of microsoft Xbox, endorsed Nintendo's new Wii console. Speculations circulated whether this statement by Moore was a genuine praise or a calculated move designed to offset the launch of Sony PlayStation 3. Moore even referred to himself as a big fan of the nintendo console. He suggested that for the price of a ps3, gamers would be able to get a new Xbox 360 plus a nintendo Wii, with some leftover for a few games. It can be recalled that Sony pegged the price of their new PlayStation at $499-$599, a price the company claimed to be fit for a Blu-ray console.

This move by microsoft seemed to be another tactic to push the Xbox 360 sales higher with the imminent release of the ps3 at its heels. Peter Moore was downplaying the viability of the ps3 by pointing out the only disadvantage of the new Sony console: its price. But Moore's reason was not only consumer concern. Moore's statement also implied that microsoft do not see nintendo as direct threat and competitor. Perhaps he thought that having Nintendo's support would clearly buoy Microsoft's sales. Moore was right to do so in this case, since ugly numbers were cropping up in sales reviews of the microsoft consoles.

The marketing and research firm, NPD Group supplied numbers and reports that indicated that the prized console of microsoft lagged behind the ps2 in terms of hardware sales. Launched half a decade ago, Sony's PlayStation 2 still lets its presence be felt at the game console market. The five-year old Sony console even managed to exceed the sales of the then-brand new Xbox 360 especially in the month of May. The next-gen console sold only 221,000 units; 11,000 units less than the ps2 sales. Though microsoft retaliated quickly by revamping shipment processes and adding a third manufacturer for its console, it wasn't enough to draw considerable margin between their sales and that of ps2.

But even if the move didn't suffice, it somewhat improved Xbox 360 console sales. Succeeding sales reviews showed that the sales of the console picked up; the influx of consoles ensuring amply supply and brisk sales. But the ps3 was touted to be a bigger threat. It didn't help either that Sony's processing systems have improved since the release of the ps2. Clearly, it became imperative for microsoft to beef up its marketing operation to ensure their new console's top position within the next-gen hierarchy.

In conclusion, Microsoft's marketing plan included Peter Moore banking on Sony's overly-inflated ego that expected gaming fans to shell out big bucks for the ps3. Moore targeted the rival console's price when he made that statement about Xbox 360 and the Wii console. He also hoped to draw in nintendo fans over to the microsoft side by actively endorsing the Wii. If nintendo approves Moore's tactic, the next-gen console battle will be a two versus one fight. Another tell-tale sign of microsoft and Moore's pricing attack at Sony's new console was the reported price slash for Xbox 360 consoles during the holidays. The price slash was clearly planned to coincide with Sony's ps3 launch. However, the affirmation if Peter Moore's tactic worked still rests on gamers' shoulders.

What ever happened to that game console we used to call the Sega Dreamcast? Why did it suddenly disappear after 2 years of production? Was the government involved in brainwashing our minds like in George Orwells 1984? All these questions will be answered as I investigate the Dreamcast's devastating decline.

Introduction

In the beginning it was good. Sega released a solid piece of hardware called the dreamcast that was easy to develop games for and kicked the competition's rear ends in terms of graphics and sound. It entered the market with a strong start, selling quite well upon its release. Although the dreamcast lacked 3rd party support, Sega's games were aplenty and the very best in quality. Sega seemed to be heading in the right direction, but two years later the company abruptly discontinued the dreamcast.

There were 3 main causes to the downfall of the dreamcast.

1. Piracy Issues

The dreamcast had a serious hardware flaw which gave it the ability to play copied games and downloaded ones from the internet. Many people chose to play the pirated versions of the games rather than shell out $40-$50 at a local gaming store for the real thing. As a result, Sega was losing money on the games that its developers had spent hours designing. I call that a sad waste of talent.

2. Loss of Faith in Sega Brand

Before the dreamcast, there was the Sega Saturn, an absolute failure. At that time, Sega was releasing new add-ons and consoles so often that nobody wanted to buy the Saturn because they feared Sega would introduce a new console and cut off game development with the current one. They were right. Sega soon released the dreamcast and rather than gain customers, it gained a bad reputation. The media attacked Sega and denounced the dreamcast with suspicions and doubts. The trust that Sega had once set up was now broken and people lost faith in Segas ability to produce game systems.

3. Overhype of the ps2

The #1 selling game console in 1999 was the Sony PSOne, so naturally people were hyped up about ps2. I definitely was. ps2 was the buzz in the gaming industry. It was said to have more superior graphics, sound, and games than any of the consoles at the time. Meanwhile, the dreamcast was already out in stores and shared similar hardware specs as the ps2, which would not be released until one year later. People overlooked the dreamcast because they were all so overhyped about ps2 when really the two had many similarities.

Keep your knees locked! Hold your arms straight until they hurt! If you feel pain, good for yousomething is happening

Ah, the soft and tender words coming from my militant hot-yoga instructornot exactly soothing. Isnt yoga supposed to be relaxing, you ask? Not the kind Ive been doing for a while. I prefer to think of it as bootcamp yoga: an hour and a half dripping with sweat in a very hot room, often practising next to someone who had too much garlic at dinner last night, contorting myself into positions that make my head want to explode, while feeling murderous towards the teacherwelcome to my form of heaven.

Do I enjoy torturing myself this way three times a week come rain or shine? NO. Do I often get into the hot room and want to run out the door screaming? YES. Do I pay a lot of money to go through this torture? YES. Am I glad I do it? ABSOLUTELY.

You may be scratching your head in confusion at this point and I totally understand why. But when I tell you the real reason I do this exercise regime three times a week religiously, suffering and cursing the entire time, youll understand where Im coming from.

At the age of 36, Ive gotten a bit wiser when it comes to health and taking care of my body. Gone are the days of starving myself or overeating and then punishing myself through exercise. Believe it or not, I absolutely love exercise now. Not because it makes me skinny (nothing will do that due to having the pulchritudinous physique of my shapely Jewish female ancestors which I have come to learn is purely genetic). However, regular exercise does keep me at a healthy weight for my size and stops me from obsessing about my body and food (except during PMS when my body and mind are overtaken by some form of alien life who temporarily makes me think that chocolate is in itself, an entire food group and that excess water in the tummy area is a must-have).

The reason I love exercise now is how it makes me feel AFTERWARDS. You see, after I leave an exercise class, I am transformed. No matter how crappy, miserable, sad, or angry I am feeling before I exercise, for some incredible reason, I consistently feel energized, positive, relaxed, and peaceful after a good workout. And so do many of the women I know. Now we know from brain research that exercise boosts serotonin, the feel-good neurotransmitter in our brains, increases endorphins; chemicals in our bodies that make us feel happy and neighbourly, and relaxes our muscles, which in turn, relaxes our mind.

I encourage all of my clients to follow a regular, three-times-a-week exercise regime of their choice as the first step in improving their mental health. I have not met one single person who has adopted this healthy lifestyle habit who has not greatly improved their mood, productivity, and reduced stress in their lives as a result. I know we hear it over and over again about exercising regularly, but being the stubborn self-willed person that I am, I have finally accepted that other people are wise when they espouse this concept and its not a conspiracy to make me conform to some strange cult.

I have witnessed countless womens mental health improve vastly from including regular exercise into their lives including recovery from depression, anxiety, disordered eating, post-traumatic stress, and many other issues.

I especially recommend regular exercise for women who are suffering from the effects of being in any kind of abusive relationship where they were systematically stripped of their dignity, sense of worth, and faith in their abilities. Vigorous exercise in this case, especially something like kickboxing, can be extremely empowering and help you to overcome feelings of worthlessness and toxic shame. Through the act of exercising, you can transform a negative self-concept into one of power, strength, and awareness of your abilities and gifts.

In my therapy practise, I have discovered that many women are weighed down with depression or anxiety and that what is often underneath those labels is suppressed anger and/or grief. Being in our bodies and expressing ourselves physically through regular exercise is a fabulous way of releasing emotions that have been stuffed down for a long time.

exercise can be extremely helpful in moving our feelings up and out of the body and can thus free up energy and leave us feeling lighter, stronger, and more peaceful and in control of our destiny.

First of microsoft had the edge when the 360 was lunched way before Sonys ps3. Now when Sonys has launched ps3 its a much more powerful console than the 360.

If you should compare these two very powerful gaming stations you have to see the whole experience not just the technical specifications. First we have to compare some technical specifications. The ps3 have a blu-ray and a support for full HD resolution which will result in very detailed games. Its a big difference of the storage on a blu-ray disc and a dvd disc. A blu-ray can carry up to 50gb and a regular dvd just 9 (Dual-layer). This will say a lot when it comes to the details that can be placed in the games. The hdd in the premium versions of the two consoles are a big difference 20gb on the 360 and 60gb on the ps3 this will do much I think. Another plus to the ps3 is that it support SD, memory Stick and Compact flash.

For the games, I will say that its seems like you will have a much better experience on the ps3 when you are playing with full HD resolution and almost feel like you are in the game. For example the new Gran Turismo HD how would it feel to cruise around in a new Ferrari? Its like you now have your own! xbox 360 has great games to like halo 2 but you wont have the same experience since the game details cant be the same. right now there are more games to the 360 but it will be much more to the ps3 soon. To the experience of these two game stations the PlayStation 3 will be the winner in 2007.

Your mother is struggling with her personal issues and although she is doing the best she can, she cannot give you the attention you need. That means that she cannot hold you as securely as you need. Feeling insecure, you naturally wonder if she is acting like this because there is something undesirable about you. After all, if you were really valued she would treat you with greater consideration. (When the love that a child needs is withheld the child naturally questions her worthiness. It is in the nature of all of us, but it is acute in children.)

Whatever the obstacle, something will push you to the point that you can no longer sustain the beliefs you hold about yourself. You will no longer be able to sustain the facade. Pushed over the limit, your resistance breaks. Bruised and beaten, willing to surrender, you cry out to God for help. He says, I understand. And then He repeats, Take off your soiled clothing and bathe yourself in love. That which is causing you pain is not yours. It does not belong to you, it never has. With nowhere else to turn, a crack in the darkness opens and you begin to see that it is really not you, that it is the manure you have been carrying all this time that has caused your pain. God continues, The process you have experienced has been created so that you would come to see the truth about who you are. In the process you will heal the vulnerability that allowed the manure to stick to you in the first place. Your vulnerability gave the beliefs a place to stick. He then tells you, This is all part of the process we have created together called life. He further explains that learning to accept the truth about who you are is an important step in your spiritual development. Since you have free will, it was necessary for you to come to this realization by yourself. He could not give it to you.

How To Prevent Slices In Your Swing

If you're a passionate golfer or an avid follower of the sport, you've probably heard players complain about their problem with their golf swing particularly their 'slicing' problem. It is probably the most prevalent swinging issue that all golfers regardless of golfing tenure, will have to go through.

The most common error of amateur golfers is that they prematurely open their shoulder on the downswing path. this causes the slice by the club hitting the ball with an open clubface.

And if the flight of your ball travels to the right inadvertently, this is what is normally called a 'push slice'. More often than not this occurs when the body outpaces the club head.

In order to prevent this, you can try hitting the ball standing on one leg during your practice sessions. The goal of this exercise is to help you maintain your balance and find your center of gravity. While standing on your left foot, for right-handed players, and then practice your swings. this maybe an awkward position at first, and it will take some time in getting used to. But once you get the hang of hit, it should greatly improve you balance and prevent the 'push slice' effect on your swing.

You can practice day in and day out and spend tremendous amounts time on the course or the driving range but if you're not in the right frame of mind, you probably will not get too far in the sport, much less see an improvement in your swing.

More than anything else, Golf is a mental game. Although you are playing against other individuals, it is the course that ultimately offers the challenge. Unlike in other sports, your opponents will not block or deter your aim or your progress in anyway. However, the course itself will cause you to plan your strategy. It is the determining factor in how you take your shot and where you aim the ball.

What Does This Weather Mean For Turning Out Your Pony?

Ok, so we all know it has been raining like crazy and half of england is under water. Down here in Cornwall we havent had the worst of it but it has rained a lot and we certainly havent had a summer yet. That said we had a great spell of weather back in April / May but that was a long time ago now. Ive just heard the weather forecast and theres more rain due today-great!!

The Launceston Show was on last weekend and we went down there for the morning- muddy, but not nearly as muddy as the Liskeard Show had been a couple of weeks before. I wrote a quick review of the Liskeard Show, specifically the mountain & Moorland Classes, so its out there if you are interested.

Unfortunately the afternoon of the Launceston Show bought torrential rain so the show was closed. Luckily for us most of the Pony Showing Classes had gone on in the morning so for those Showing in the morning the day hadnt been a disaster. We watched the Lead Rein mountain and Moorland, and then first Ridden Classes which were very well attended. The site turned into a mud bath but as at Liskeard the local farmers did a fantastic job towing vehicles out of the mud so everybody got out eventually.

For those that have not read any of our stuff before we have a cleveland Bay mare, a Welsh Section B and a Shetland Pony. Fortunately for them we have a business supplying tack and essentials for Shetlands and most of the Native Pony Breeds so our three are not short on turnout rugs and such to keep them dry in this weather.

Our three are all in at the moment for different reasons, but in the case of the ponies it is mostly because the grass is continually growing that there is an increased risk of laminitis this summer. Our Shetland Pony, Poppy, started to look a bit sore when ridden on the road and we found a pulse at the fetlock which indicates increased blood flow to the foot. We felt it might be the start of something so we brought her in where she has been for a week now. Our Welsh, Gulliver, has also been put on restricted grazing just to be on the safe side. Lots of extra work but better safe than sorry.

In the stables we are using a Mini Miser Haynet and a Wee Pony Haynet. Basically these have holes that are half the size of the holes in normal Haynets so are perfect for hungry ponies that have a tendency to eat too much. We sell these on our website along with things like the Greenguard Pony Grazing Mask, again a product to restrict the grazing but not completely cancel turnout time. There seems to be the feeling that once the sun comes out here the grass will really grow because we have had so much rain and then owners will need to be very careful that their ponies are not getting too much grass. If you have any concerns we would strongly advise consulting a vet.
